Since 1996 he has chaired the Supervisory Board of the International Foundation for the Promotion of Advanced Technologies. He was one of the authors of the Cracow Special Economic Zone and in the years 1997-2003 he was a member of its Management Board, Vice-President of the Centre of Advanced Technologies - a Company of the State Treasury (currently the Cracow Technology Park) introducing such key investors as Motorola, Comarch, Linde, MAN.
